D.I.Y., S.E.O.

Everyone knows that YouTube has replaced the MTV of the 90s (for those of you to young to remember…they used to show music videos!). Everyone knows that it’s even better than its predecessor because all you need to taken advantage of it is to set up an account. But not everyone knows that it takes a little extra work and attention to detail to use the platform to its fullest potential. First of all, don’t just throw a video up and hope for the best. You need to make sure that it is tagged optimally and make sure to use as many keywords as you can in the description without sacrificing the flow of the writing. Equally important, use social media to share it with EVERYONE you know. While you’re asking (read: telling) EVERYONE you know to help rack up your view count, make to request a proverbial cherry-on-top and ask them to leave comments. All of these things will improve your ‘SEO’ as well or better than paying for an actual service would.
