If you’re an amateur musician, chances are that you’ve never
walked a red carpet, but you can probably relate to one. Some bands feel
crushed by financial pressure from foregoing employment to devote themselves to
their art. Some feel this way after finding it hard to be accepted in their
local scene or get anyone to listen to them. If you’ve been struggling for a
while and maybe hear a lot of people suggest you give up, it’s easy to let
yourself be taken advantage of when even the slightest opportunity comes your
way. So before this (hopefully) happens, you need to be well informed of your
rights. The fact is that a bad deal isn’t necessarily better than no deal at
all and sometimes demanding to be treated fairly might not be the deal breaker
you’re worried about. You probably already know what to do when you’re pulled
over by a cop with an exceptional sense of smell, so why shouldn’t you know how
to handle a record executive with dollar sign in their eyes? Click on the link
