Social Media Networking - Things To Remember

Almost everyone is on a social networking site of some sort nowadays, or so it would seem. But what is that everyone is always talking about? Well, according to an infographic put together by Brandignity, it's ourselves!

People tend to be very narcissistic and forget that social media was originally created to keep in touch with others and share, not just glorify yourself. And this goes for bands to! Social networking, when used properly, is a great way to get your name out there and reach other musicians and people in the music industry to help push your band along. But unfortunately social media sites are a mixed bag. They've also taken away the basic people skills you get from interacting with an actual human-being. People rely so heavily on the internet for everything, that almost nothing is done in real life anymore. But it's important to have skills in both areas.

Below are tips for bands to remember while Twitter-ing, or social networking in general.

Don't: Come across as unapproachable.
