There’s no debating the primary vehicles for delivering
music from the artist to our ears has changed a lot overtime – from sheet
music, to vinyl, to 8-tracks, to cassettes, to CDs, to whatever you wanna call
it now – the changes seem to have come more and more rapidly over the past few
decades. It’s hard to imagine music in any smaller of a form than being able to
fit your entire collection in your pocket (i.e., iPods) but the not-so-slow
death of the album (at least in the mainstream) is making another change, not
only possible, but inevitable. This imminent change I speak of is not so much a
new form of song delivery/ownership, but soon and band’s entire career will
